Brief 2 : Nada product research


Health Food store

Myself and Tom decided to visit various health food shops and oriental supermarkets to look at the range of available products currently out there on the market to help us further understand how the design of our brand and product will sit next to these products within these retail locations. The main principles that we took away from the research was the pasta or product itself is always on show through the packaging in some way, which we think it both of benefit and detriment as not all the pasta looked particularly appetising. Furthermore much of the packaging we looked at consisted of a fairly muted colour palette of greens and browns and little vivid colour was used. It was also worth noting that there no high end brands of pasta which paid attention to detail with there packaging nor did any of the products we found use any principles of print to enhance the product.
